Sri. Rama Nagappa Shetty, popularly known as Sri. R.N. Shetty in the state of Karnataka and elsewhere started his career in the 1960’s and by sincere diligence, passion and concern, dedicated for humanity at large, reached heights of excellence in diversified fields of activity such as engineering, industry, education, medical, hospitality, power generation, automobile dealerships, religion, spirituality and philanthropy. He was also the Managing Trustee of the Shri Mhatobar Murudeshwar Temple.
He was born in a remote village, Murudeshwar, in Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka on 15th August 1928. Fifteenth August being day of independence for the country and true to the date he has contributed with enthusiasm and zeal much to the development of the nation in his own way.
